１．本ワークショップの趣旨
SEP研究会も創立から8年が経過しました。その間、標準必須特許（SEP）を取り巻く環境は大きく変化しました。特に昨年（2020年）は、世界的パンデミックにもかかわらず、SEPを巡る動きの多い年となりました。SEP研究会は、従来のリアルでの研究会をすべてオンラインに切り替え、4回実施しましたが、本年度最終回となる3月18日は、昨年度同様公開でワークショップ（オンライン）を開催し、一年の活動を総括したいと思います。プログラムは2部構成で、第1部は、各地域（米欧中アジア）ごとに、この1年間のSEPを巡る判例・業界動向を、それぞれの地域でご活躍の専門家の方々から整理していただきます。また、第2部は、パネルディスカッションとして、SEPをより長期的視点からどう見るかを、企業、官公庁、法曹の視点から知見豊かなパネリストと議論したいと思います。

SEP Research Group Workshop 2021
１．Purpose of the workshop
Eight years have passed since the SEP Study Group was founded. During that time, the environment surrounding SEPs has changed significantly. In particular, last year (2020) was a year with a lot of movement around SEP despite the global pandemic. Following the four group meetings, on March 18, as the final event of 2020 FY, we held a open session to sur, a workshop (online) was held openly as in the previous year. I would like to summarize the activities of the year. The program consists of two parts, and the first part organizes the judicial precedents and industry trends regarding SEP for the past year for each region (US, Europe, Central Asia) from experts who are active in each region. Please. In the second part, as a panel discussion, I would like to discuss how to view SEP from a longer-term perspective with knowledgeable panelists from the perspectives of companies, government agencies, and legal profession.
