（欧) UPC（統一特許裁判所）判事一覧発表 Unified Patent Court judicial appointments

欧州単一効特許の統一裁判所UPCに関する協定の発効は来年4月1日に予定されている。それを前に長らく待たれていた統一特許裁判所の判事一覧が公表された。ルクセンブルグに設置されるUPC Court of AppealのKlaus Grabinski 首席判事と6名の判事を含む欧州各地の裁判所から85名のUPC判事（34 legally qualified judgesおよび 51 technically qualified judges) の名前が発表された。非常に強力な布陣で業界関係者からも強い期待が寄せられていることがわかる。

SEPの世界から見れば、重要なSEP判例を出す英国からはBREXITで当然UPCには誰も加われないなか、やはりSEP判例で実績のあるドイツの重要性が今回の人選にも現れている。ドイツから控訴審首席のKlaus Grabinski判事は当然として、Matthias Zigann やUlrike Voß ら著名なSEP判例を出した判事が加わっていることは注目される。また、重要度のますオランダからの参加やそれほどSEPケースの多くないフランスからの参加も興味深い。JUVEも指摘しているように予想外なのは影響力の強いDusseldorfのKuehnen判事が（年齢のためか？）入っていないことや、デュッセルドルフでEUCJ付託を行おうとしていたSabine Klepsch判事が場所を変えUPCハンブルクに入ったことなどいろいろ話題があった。詳しくはJUVE誌を参照願いたい。
